What is meant by the polarity in in the molecule?

A polar bond is one that is formed by two elements of different electronegativity values. But the presence of a polar bond doesn't necessarily imply the polarity of a molecule. If the dipole vectors described by the different polar bonds do not cancel out each other vectorially a polar molecule is formed. So a polar molecule has different centres of positive and negative charges.
