If H2O, SO2 and CO2 are all triatomic molecules why dont they all have the same molecular polarity?

H2O forms two single bonds, therefore has two free lone pairs, making it bent and polar. Sulphur is the same deal with H2O. CO2 has two double bonds, and no lone pairs, so it is nonpolar and linear.
